Rather than actually deleting data, the operating system usually marks it as free space. This means that the information can be salvaged with a specialized utility. However, if the information is too important to let anyone see it, you can use Anti Recovery to prevent such utilities from finding the data. The software can overwrite data multiple times, making sure that nothing is left to recover.

You can have Anti Recovery up and running in no time. The installation process takes only a few seconds and it doesn't involve any complex settings. The program works on all modern Windows operating systems and it doesn't have any special requirements. Also, it doesn't ask for too many resources, so you can run it even on older machines, with modest hardware.

Shredding files with Anti Recovery can't be more simple. All you have to do is tell the program what files to delete and how many passes it should make. It lets you go through each step of the process in a logical manner and it guides you with step-by step instructions, though they are not really necessary.

Files and folders can be targeted by clicking their corresponding check boxes in a large tree structure. Once the data is selected, you can set the program to perform a simple shredding process, with only one pass or you can set it to overwrite the data multiple times. It is definitely worth mentioning that Anti Recovery is capable of making up to 35 passes, using various algorithms, including ones that are being used by governments around the world.

Pros

You can delete files and make them impossible to recover. The software is capable of making up to 35 passes when overwriting data and it supports various shredding algorithms.

Cons

The trial version will shred a maximum number of files. You can be sure of the fact that anything you delete with Anti Recovery will be gone forever.
